Proof in retail and e-commerce
Tax, receivables, and treasury under control.

RETAIL AND E-COMMERCE · TAX OPERATIONS
NF-e issued and controlled end to end
Emails, spreadsheets, PDFs, and XMLs processed automatically for issuance, returns, cancellations, and tracking of tax invoices with SEFAZ.

RETAIL AND E-COMMERCE · RECEIVABLES AND TREASURY
Payments from multiple acquirers reconciled automatically
Events and settlements from acquirers and digital wallets centralized to reconcile receivables, identify discrepancies, and support financial close.
Product in layers
First we connect the sources. Then we automate the checks.
Abstra organizes orders, acquirer, tickets, invoices, freight, and ERP in three layers: data gathered, rules executed, and exceptions visible for the team to decide.
intake
Data layer
We gather checkout, gateway webhooks, settlement reports, Zendesk, SEFAZ, freight invoices, and ERP entries before reconciliation starts.

Real examples
What we have already automated in the sector
Real patterns of refunds, settlement, marketplace, and omnichannel.
Refunds and proofs
Zendesk → Itaú (PIX/TED) + Rede (card) → proof to the customer. Automatic refunds up to R$999 when the customer requests on the site. Financeiro, Comprovante Total, and Comprovante Depósito mailboxes in the same flow.
Card settlement
Cielo/Age vs internal systems with real-time webhook + API enrichment, raw/normalized tables by merchant, and documented manual rules turned into automation, without 100MB+ spreadsheets.
SAP reconciliation and supplier registration
SAP vs F022 spreadsheet reconciliation; a finance team with dozens of databases linked to hundreds of spreadsheets; supplier registration with complex validations. Clear process modeling before automating. Finance autonomy, with technical support only where SAP integration requires it.
Tax invoice (NF-e) automation
An AI classifies the tax inbox (sale/return/refusal/transfer) and issues the invoice with the tax authority.
Multi-carrier freight audit
Data-warehouse matching that finds improper charges before close.
Order-to-fulfillment omnichannel
Order → NFC-e → fulfillment (retail ERP + store + marketplaces), with multi-warehouse inventory and auditable write-back.
From the operations floor
If your retail operation looks like this, we fix it.
Real voices from people who live refunds, settlement, and spreadsheets every day.
“My support team processes refunds by hand, and every payment method has a different flow.”
“Acquirer settlement only closes after matching the report against a 100MB spreadsheet.”
“I have dozens of databases linked to hundreds of spreadsheets. The rule is still in the head of the person who does it.”
“Finance wants autonomy, but any SAP integration turns into a technical queue.”
“I get invoices from several carriers and have no way to check whether the charge is correct.”
“When the authorization rate drops, I only find out at closing. The sale is already gone.”
Finance routines
Checkout, acquirer, refunds, and tax change fast. Finance has to keep up.
When each step lives in a different source, reconciling retail becomes hunting exceptions by hand.
Multi-method refunds by hand
PIX, TED, card, and coupon require different flows, and proof still has to get back to the customer.
Acquirer settlement does not match
Cielo/Age, Rede, or Adyen reports versus the internal system: MDR, installments, and chargebacks in a spreadsheet.
Marketplace payouts with no trail
Seller, commission, freight, and promotion arrive in different formats, and matching turns into rework.
Invoice issuance at scale blocking fulfillment
Sales, returns, refusals, and transfers need to issue, cancel, and look up with SEFAZ without a manual queue.
Multi-carrier freight with no audit
Invoices from several carriers with no automatic check. The improper charge only shows up after payment.
Giant spreadsheets as the source of truth
100MB+ files, dozens of databases, and rules in the specialist's head before close.
Tickets and mailboxes scattered
Zendesk, Financeiro, Comprovante Total, Comprovante Depósito: status disappears across teams.
ERP and finance autonomy in tension
Finance wants autonomy, but SAP/NetSuite integration still waits on a technical queue for every change.
Less time hunting the error. More time deciding what to do with it.
Choose a routine
Before
Process refunds ticket by ticket in Zendesk
After
Multi-method flow with automatic proof
The ticket becomes an action in Itaú (PIX/TED) or Rede (card), and proof goes back to the customer without copy-paste.
Control to automate without losing governance
AI for tickets and documents
Reading Zendesk, PDFs, proofs, and invoices when the data is not structured.
Configurable finance rules
MDR, N:N matching, refund approval limits, and policies adjusted to the operation.
Human review where it matters
Sensitive discrepancies arrive with context for approval or adjustment.
Traceability of close
Logs, evidence, and status to know what was validated and by whom.

Want to know which manual routines are worth automating first?
In a short conversation, we map refunds, settlement, tax, and reconciliations: sources, systems, and ROI opportunities.
I want to map my automationsFrequently asked questions about retail and e-commerce finance automation
Do you replace my ERP or e-commerce platform?+
No. Abstra does not replace ERP, VTEX, Shopify, Bling, SAP, or gateways. It acts as an automation layer between those systems to reconcile, run refunds/tax, and keep a trail of what was validated.
What if the system has no API?+
Many routines start from reports, spreadsheets, email, portals, or exports. We use connectors, light RPA, and document AI when needed. We prioritize API and webhook when they exist for stability and auditability.
Can finance operate without depending on IT all the time?+
Yes, that is the point. Analysts configure rules, review exceptions, and follow status. Sensitive integrations (SAP, for example) get technical support during modeling, but day-to-day reconciliation stays with finance.
How do you measure automation ROI in retail?+
We look at refund/reconciliation hours, discrepancy volume, invoice issuance time, recovered freight charges, and the order-to-cash cycle. The first project is usually the routine with the highest volume and the clearest rule.
How do MDR reconciliation and N:N matching work?+
We match sales, settlements, refunds, and chargebacks with matching rules that accept N:N relationships (several sales ↔ one batch, splits, installments). We validate MDR and fees and leave only discrepancies for human review.
Can you automate multi-method refunds (PIX, TED, card)?+
Yes. The typical flow reads the ticket (e.g. Zendesk), identifies the method, executes on the right bank/acquirer, and returns proof to the customer. Thresholds (e.g. automatic up to an amount) and exceptions go to approval.
Does tax issuance talk to SEFAZ?+
Yes. We classify the type (sale, return, refusal, transfer), issue/look up/cancel NF-e or NFC-e, and keep a protocol log. Tax exceptions go to a human queue with context.
Are marketplace and seller reconciliation in scope?+
Yes. Orders, commissions, promotions, freight, and payouts from external channels can be reconciled with the ERP and the omnichannel finance view, with prioritized exceptions.
How does freight audit work?+
We match the carrier invoice to the order, weight/dimensions, and contracted rate table. Improper charges become exceptions for dispute, before close, not after payment.
Where should a retail/e-commerce operation start?+
Start with the routine that has the highest volume and the clearest rule: multi-method refunds, acquirer settlement, or tax issuance. The first step is to map sources, exceptions, and impact on close. Model the process before automating.
Bring us your sales / refund reconciliation. We'll automate it with you.
Retail is multi-channel, multi-method, and multi-system: reconciling acquirer, marketplace, and refunds takes real integration, deterministic rules, and an auditable write-back. It doesn't come out of a chat.
